Storm fried the pool pump last night and it tripped the power. Freezer defrosted and all the food stuffed.
Just paid $900 for the fraking car to be fixed on Friday and now it's a grand for a pool pump. Guess that will have to wait and I'll have a wildlife pond by the time I can replace it.

Wanna touch me for luck anyone?

Just went out to put the freezer contents in the bin and my thongs snapped and I fell on my arse and the bags burst. Will return after I have cleared it up....

OMG Kp, is anything going right for you?

As TP says, are these things not covered on insurance?

The freezer is but as I never go shopping these days the cost isn't worth claiming. Mostly stuff I had made in big batches, like chilli, lasagne etc.
Lasagne for tea!!! 'til Wednesday:o
Pretty sure the pool pump isn't covered but I will try anyway. If it's not I'm afraid we will just have to live with a green pool and the $300 in chemicals to get it back!

Yes it is. However I would be very wary of accepting the reduced-pay job even if you see it as a short-term thing - think you said something about until you'd consulted lawyers, K?

I don't know the law but I can see that may be classed as an acceptance of an offer, and blow any further dealings.

(I've just helped a friend go through an unfair dismissal hearing. She was in a union but it was still brutal.)

That is the plan. I am going along with it with no comment. I am off this week and am teeing up some legal advice for the beginning of the week. I will get the Doctor to sign me off for a further period as I have made the choice not to go back, but am not resigning until I have spoken to a lawyer.
Thanks SS xxx

Even my staunchest ally is turning on me!!!

Just went back into the house and Molly the Chi, in spite of being just past my ankles in height, has got onto the worktop via a drawer I left open and dispatched a fair chunk of the half thawed lasagne!

At least I won't need to feed her for a while!
