If I did that on a dry night in the UK i'd get a few spiders on some things - for some reason they seem to like my sheets here
Any probs with that over there? If there is might have to get my husband to get the clothes in - mind you I suppose the neighbours could become accustomed to the odd shriek

Now that you mention it, may be a good idea to check while folding as I'm not sure if this is a problem in other states.

Oddly its the relatively harmless huntsman spider that has my skin crawling the worst, last time we were in Oz came across a few of them, Wow do they move quick and the size of them.

We have heaps of redbacks in our garden and get the perimeter of the house sprayed each year to keep them down but still shitloads outside of that perimeter.
The longer I am here, the less I care about spiders. We had a snake under our car port the other week, in fact since they have been doing roadworks, there have been quite a few snakes in our suburb.

Still I only wear stubbies & a wife beater 6 days a week so not much to dry. If it was a suit & tie job then I'd need one.

I don't hang workclothes in the sun, only under a pergola which warms up nicely and gets a breeze through - but my wife hangs normal clothes and sheets in the sun but only for fairly short periods.

Yeah, good idea. You can always replace later.
We have a dryer but have never used it in Melbourne.
In winter we simply used to bring the portable drying rack inside and since the house had ducted heating, they used to dry up quite well.
In summer we always put the clothes out to dry at night therefore no problem with fading.

I was ironing a pillowcase once and it had a MASSIVE praying mantis inside. I thought it was a big twig, "how did that get in there?" then it started moving.

I'm not sure if that was a serious question or if you were being sarcastic, but in case it was the former - I didn't own a tumble dryer, if I had then I would've shipped it, on the advice from people here. My ancient microwave self-destructed the week the shippers were due, otherwise that would've come as well.
