There is an official website aswell - but didn't seem to work. Just 'google' criminal injury compensation.

As awful as it might sound, take some photos of your husbands injuries for evidence in a compensation claim. I know money won't take the emotional scars and pain away but it will help set your new life up in Oz.

Get the Hell out of there. I am sickened by what I read. You have to put your family first. Is there any chance you could just go without the sale of the house been completed?Can I just say ,my eldest was bullied badly when she was nine (now 16) and unfortunately is still suffering the mental consequences of it. I moved house and took her away from the area permanently and still today she suffers. It is getting better. Take it from a mother who has been through it , Get your Daughter away from the school and area as quickly as you can. It is not running away , just protecting your child's mental future. I wish you all the very best of luck for your future. I'm sending you Karma. Not that it will solve any of your problems. Just maybe letting you know people are thinking of you

You should take consolation in the fact that this will soon be over and while those scumbags will still be leading their pathetic lives, you and your family will be starting a new life in Australia. Imagine walking along the beach at sunset with your family. Those animals will be 12000 miles away and then you will see them for what they really are. Inconsequential and insignificant and doomed to a terrible future involving jail or worse.

All the problems that are in the future for you will pale in comparison to what you're going through now.
