No we really like it...we came from a big city area in Scotland, busy motorways, hash bash to work, etc etc. Bundy itself offers everything we need, so far! We went down to the sunshine and gold coasts over xmas, and although our son enjoyed the amenities down there, we hated the driving and general hustle and bustle. We are up in one of the beach areas, so commute 20 kms to work, but roads are no probs.
Only problem here is the lack of jobs...you have to be able I think, to turn your hand to different things, if your skill is not in demand. Luckily hubby has a job and I have had two interviews prior to xmas, so I may even need to get off the beach (chance would be a fine thing!) and earn a crust or two.
Thanks for asking and your previous help.
Cheers

I think that this is an excellent option. We have our own pool. I am now an expert on water chemistry and pool maintenance and I can tell you that I am "so over it". They say a pool is hole in the ground into which you throw $5 bill only to be outdown by a boat which is like standing in a cold shower ripping up $100 bills.

Any more piccies of pools to inspire us. We have the land but are holding off on the pool until at least hubby has work, when we can ship over the last bit of money from the UK to pay for it.
Could do with it at the mo but just jump in the car and drive 5mins to the beach.
I don't know if we can afford the pool I want though
Needs to be big enough to SWIM in and ozone treated if poss. Don't like chlorine and not over fond of the salt - we shall see.

There`s a big pool in our parent`s place, but we have a spa... does that count?

That looks lovely
I would love to have both, but I know that's being a bit greedy

Hi Peeps
we had an inground pool put into our garden and have found it has been used loads... I sometimes get up in the morning and just pop in for a quick swim and my daughter has her friends round for loads of swimming. On warmer evenings I float candles on the pool which looks good when you have friends round for a bbq etc.
Money well spent indeedy...

Mainly because i haven't got a garden...live in an apartment
Could have done with one this summer as it has been so bloody hot...
Got the sea two minutes away though which is lovely to swim in
So I suppose we have got a great big pool within easy access
