We have one in our rental and have found it to be invaluable especially in the summer months when its very very hot.
Have decided we def need one in our own property as it is an asset when you have friends with young children.
My friends and I BBQ alot and its good to have a pool so the kids have something to do whilst the adults are drinking lol.
we also have aircon so can cool down in the hot months.
I would def say make sure you have one or the other for summer as it will really be a life saver.

Since we'll be living with my parents I voted a big fat 'yes' ..... and in about 14 days I will be swimming in it

Yep we have a pool in our rental. We met with the pool guy this week to design a pool in our new build...
16m lap pool for proper swimming
And solar heating thankfully. Pools are great but can get darn cold and cant use them much of the year otherwise.
