That's too easy.
We really all want Akron to succeed in Oz.

I still want to know which part of the UK you lived in. By all accounts, it must have been heaven on Earth; a veritable Shangri-la, where the sun always shone, the grass was always greener, nobody ever conned you out of your hard-earned savings, everything was dirt cheap, and customer service was always impeccable.

Given these idyllic conditions, I can't imagine what prompted your move to Australia in the first place.

The service centre clearly hadn’t bothered to put it in the book so its just cost me over half a day and $25 in fuel. All the centre said was ‘sorry for the inconvenience’!
I’m at my wits end for the answer to how you are supposed to get service or do business here, I’ve learnt a valuable lesson today and that to phone the day before to make sure they know your coming regardless of the fact you might already have arranged something.
Oh and while I was in port on a fools errand I went into Bunnings to get some water buts for the alpacas, and guess what, while I was in the checkout queue an old woman came up to my trolly and took out the 2 large plastic buckets out of trolly, had a feel and then took them to show her husband!!! WTF is going on? She brought them back placed the in the trolly then walked away and didn’t say a word!
Just another day in paradise!!!!

If it makes you feel better it's the same in NZ and at least 10 yrs behind!
What are alpacas like to look after and would 2 live on an acre of good grass here in NZ - where grass grows continually all year?

2 days ago a sales person in a bakers purposefully kept 50 cents back to pockle me out of the correct change for a pint of milk, when challenged she opened her other hand and voila the missing 50 cents!! No point in complaining it was her shop!
Last Wednesday took the boy for his 1st swimming lesson at the local pool, Woman told us on the phone when we booked it to make sure he has a waterproof nappy, when asked where we get them from she said its OK cos they sell them there. We turn up and pay the $90 for 10 lessons and ask for a nappy, we’ve run out a couple of weeks ago and somebody forgot to buy some more!! He cant go in the pool without one, another wasted trip and 1/10 of the lessons wasted so far, lets hope they remember to put the water in the pool this week..
I’m sorry to whinge but the part of Australia you all live in doesn’t exist within 300km of me here, why you find it so hard to believe I can totally understand because I wouldn’t believe it either.
This is the 2nd time this particular jeep dealership has let me down, last time was 6 months ago when they took my money and then didn’t actually do the service, I found out because all the parts that should have been changed and the broken light cluster was still broken. But that’s another story.
As for what’s wrong with an old biddy removing my shopping from my trolly I’ll tell you what’s wrong with it, it’s customary in a civilised society to a) not invade other peoples personal space and b) ask permission or just supply some other courtesy or even conversation before taking someone else’s shopping. It can’t be because I’m a pom as I was alone in the queue and had not spoke a word so unless I’m dressed like a pom there is no way she could have known.
Back to the relative safety of my farm, at least there are no robbing, thieving, work shy gypsies within a kilometres radius to me!! Thank god for small mercies, no where did that snake go……

Arkon, I get the feeling from some of the feedback that you have expressed some grief or other in other posts so I just wondered;
Has anything good happened for you since coming to Oz?
Anything of significance I mean, not like, yeah, well the sun shone one day etc.....
Beautiful animals, very easy to look after and yes I think 2 would live quite happily on an acre of lush grass, make sure they have plenty of shade and lots of fresh water, oh and if you get a boy make sure his knackers are off otherwise he will try and get amorous with every human female he meets!
