It sounds like my weight may not be too bad. I am 5lbs away from having a BMI of under 30 (and 13 days until the medical). I think I will still push to achieve that if possible as my blood pressure is not too far from the 140/100 mark and bound to be up a bit on the day due to stress. My concern is that the BP with weight together could mean trouble. Also by trying to drop those 5lbs I may also help lower my BP too largely due to 2 1/2 weeks on the wagon)

I think I am going to also get a letter from my regular Doctor stating what my normal BP is.
He did my BP 6 months ago and it was high (well it would be due to the stress of being at the doctors) so there is no point me getting a letter from him as he will say it is even higher. But I did buy a meter from Boots and have taken my own readings for the last 3 months. It averages 130/90 which is higher than it should be but not enough to be a big worry just yet. Hopefully a combination of deep breathing, repeated measurements and my own readings will placate him. Fingers crossed!

Just to set your mind at rest, my BMI was just under 30, and I believe this is bordering on the obese and I sailed thru, I believe they place you in a "Category B" if you are in the region of BMI 35, but I am not too sure on this.
You can work out your BMI here
Good luck
