Huddlestone Family looking in Sydney.

is it me or are they completely unrealistic about houses. Voting for housing in England as better!

8 minutes from Sydney CBD and they're getting 3 and 4 bed houses for £350k and they say housing in Britian is better.

How many 3 and 4 bed houses 8 minutes from London Centre can they get for £350k?

Unbelievable!!!!!!

And I could be wrong but they voted Australia on everything but the house and then the wife said at the end too far from family? What they didn't know that Australia was about a 24 hour flight?

ok breath deeply, and wait for the backlash of messages.

oh well and least they made the descision before emmigrating and I mean it when I say I hope they find what they are looking for in the UK as they did seem like a nice couple

Watching this religously again but it really does drive you up the wall doesn't it!

To make it worse, a collegue at work today who doesn't know we are going to Oz said he is sick of the UK and wants to go Oz now. He said he's been watching Wanted Down Under and it looks great!! Houses so cheap, cost of living so much cheaper than the UK yada yada.

Guess the program must be working for people who don't have a clue!

Yes it does!! especially when the program portrays "country lifestyle" 5 mins from the centre of perth!! After living in perth for 30+ years i know exactly how far Applecross is from perth and it is NOT in the "country"
Tho i may check that out next week when we get home to perth..just to make sure they didnt move it while we have been away

Is it just me or are this years programs CRAP None of the families seem to have done any research and I wonder if BBC just dragged 20 families off the street and asked them if they wanted a free holiday. You can tell after the first 2 mins watching whether or not they will be going. Its been on 2 weeks now and they haven't shown anyone thinking of Queensland. I know they don't want to shown Oz true rose coloured glasses but I think they are taking it a bit to far......anyone else agree????

i thought the guy with the little baby and kenyan wife seemed very sensible at first, but it all feel away by the end.

the liverpool family have been the most genuine, i wish them luck.

as for alec baldwin and his idea of going on a business visa like me. what a twat. 60 minutes at a computer will tell you, you need a 200k turnover for 2 years to get perm visa, plus a proven business background in the uk to start off with. so they go over, get the kids all excited, then pull the plug.

have never seen the series before, its making me angry.

as this is series 3 ?. does anyone know if any families from the previous series went over to live, thanks to the bbc ???

Call me paranoid but I am thinking they are all actors/actresses (to be politically correct) employed by a joint venture with the BBC and the Australian tourist board and if so they are doing a terrible job at it.
