How can it be worse than the UK for goodness sake!!! I'm told it doesn't get below freezing in the main towns. Thats not bad in my book!!! And if you want snow, go to the mountains. If you don't stay in the town.
I'd rather be here, winters an all, than lego land fly ridden Perth anyday of the week.

I have just discovered another reason to move out of Essex!
We had 3 "santa stop here" signs in our front garden - one that we've had a couple of years and 2 new "personalised" ones for the kids that their Nan bought them this year....
Some thieving git has stolen the "unpersonalised" one today..... Andy reckons it was there this morning - but i've just been out the front and it's gone!
I cannot believe that someone would steal children's xmas decorations (duh, i guess i shouldn't forget i live in England!
)
Not sure i'm going to be able to hold back for another 6 months before putting the house up for sale now......

Yep that's why I moved here and got out of Perth. Oh and winter in Perth is very wet and windy, and summers hot and dry, but you can't tell any Perthies there is anything wrong with Perth. Been in those threads, they are scary!

I believe the argument is settled by the volumes of expats in Taz.

Fantastic, well said !, the people that are moving to Tas do realise what the weather is like, we actually want it be a little bit comparable to the Uk, if we didnt we wouldnt be going, and others that dont like it a little bit cold sometimes, then dont go !

If all I was moving for was the weather then i'd be off to the Carribean!!

Its the whole package that Tas has to offer that we want and especially for our 4 boys ( and the next one!!)
