I must be crazy too then! :D I did a "weekly shop" only yesterday....
I reckoned it came in similar to what we spend now at Morrisons and I "bought" meats and veg and from what everyone says on here they're meant to be quite expensive from supermarkets. |

Sorry to break up the banter but about this shampoo............is it just me or does Aussie shampoo "work" better in Oz while British shampoo works better in Blighty? Everytime I take a holiday and use the "wrong" shampoo I end up with greasy dull hair:o

Re: Shampoo!
I wonder what "shopping correctly" means; buying half the quantity perhaps?

I compared their quoted Supermarket prices, with the same things I had bought that same day, and found that I had paid about half what they paid, by "shopping correctly", I assume :D |
Re: Shampoo!
I'm interested in the quote about "inferior tea". Does this mean the Indians have two grades of tea and ship the best to the UK, but send the sweepings off the floor to the Aussies because they won't know any better?
For some reason, here in NZ we have PG Tips, which I've always thought was nothing special. It's all in your taste and what you've been used to. When we visited Oz we thought the coffee was awful in WA and Brisbane - weak foam with a bit of hickory flavour - and I've heard other people from NZ say the same. However, coffee know-it-alls tell me that kiwi coffee is strong and sour. Trouble is the strong and sour from the local BP station tastes better to us than the rot from the Oz coffee shop, even though it may be Italian primo roast or some such. It's what you get used to. |
