Hi all,
Haven't been on for a while, had no internet, still trying to secure and permanent rental, what a nightmare. Put in an application but now it is just a waiting game. We went to Hillary's today and the kids went on the big water slides and the beach, they loved it. We met up with the Daxver family who arrived the same day as us. Lovely family. Picked up my car today, glad we have the 2 now as when David starts work I don't want to be stuck in the house all day(not with my 2 anyway)! Hope all is going well with everyone else. Sarah.:D HERE IS THE UPDATED LIST: |
Re: Settling in Perth 2007/8 List
Hi all,

Looking at Armadale at the moment but thats highly likely to change. Cheers Niki |
Re: Settling in Perth 2007/8 List
Hi all
Well have been here 4 weeks and was pulled over by the police and given a fine for $150 and 2 points on my licence that i haven't even got yet. :curse:Never been stopped in the uk and have been driving for 22 years. So if you are driving in a built up area the limit is only 50 km (no signs to tell you) which is not much when you work it back into mph. They also like to hide with the speed gun. phillip. |

Re: Settling in Perth 2007/8 List
Hi all. I feel a bit cheeky joining this site as I am returning home to Perth after 11yrs living in the UK, but as it has been so long since I was back there (6mth stint in 2003) and my personal circumstances have changed dramatically I feel as much excitement and trepidation as you all do! :o I know that it will have changed beyond recognition.
My 2 & 1/2 year old daughter and I leave Heathrow on Dec 20th. Flying with Singapore. I'm looking forward to being home for Christmas for the first time in 4 yrs but am quite nervous about my new future. Having experienced all the 'traumas' of moving halfway across the world to the UK, new jobs, housing, friends and the breakdown of my marriage in the past year, I feel that I'm doing this again for the '1st time'!! I will be living with my mum or one of my brothers until work (teaching) is sorted. Then will move into my house in Duncraig. I would love to be included on the list, I'm sure my British citizenship and British daughter help me to qualify LOL. And yes I will be shouting for England on Saturday, although I wasn't 2 weeks ago!!! I'm so glad I found this site as it has answered so many questions that I have about my move. Jules :) |
