Hello all
we are in oz hahahaha cool ( but we do feel lost ) we have been before but not with two kids . They were great on the plain but like monsters over here in oz playing up big time. haha kids its a pain
our rental is to big for us as kids just run around all day screaming what a pain never mind.
what can i say well we love it but feel lost as to expect. all should be good when we have a propper rental so we can unpack our things and settle.
going to look for a rental today and cars,, sarah has got her driving licence and i got my TFN sorted and bank sorted just want to get it all done so we can CHILL FOR A BEER
we do not have any internet at the house have tryed a 10 hr dial up yes dial up and it does not seem to work on vista
got to sort something out soon. we are staying in joondalup anyone for a beer ?
pm me we have got numbers now . we will look at this tomorrow if anyone wants a beer, we speak toyou all soon

Hi Dave,

It is hard the first week, kids have played us up aswell no end, they get bored sitting in the car while you drive about everywhere, take a day here & there to chill on the beach, everything will get done when it gets done(Crikey, I sound like an Aussie already! :rofl:)

Was trying to somehow sort the list from those who are here at the top then working down to those who will be arriving next year nearer the bottom so you can look down the list to see who's arriving next, but MS word will not do it, tried pasting into MS Excel but it doesn't sort very well & will only do 1 page at a time! :(

Will have another go tonight perhaps :unsure:

We will be in Perth sometimes begining of 2008, Feb. if as planned...
Do you know why some of the Scarborough houses are "cheap" compared to others in the area? Is it something wrong with this area?
We are looking for good schools also, this is the priority...
How are schools- primary then sec. (my daughter is almost 11)

We did a recci in perth Feb 2006 and were told by the house rental owner that scarborough had a bit if a bad reputation. There had been issues with drugs in the area and a bit of a party area. But he explained that things were changing. I think they are putting some mon ey into the area.
apologise if I have it wrong. Simply what I've been advised.

Hi all,

Ok, have finally sorted the list by date order :thumbsup: This way it is just a quick look down the list to see who will be arriving next :thumbup: Am using the 'landed in Perth' date, so if anyone has any updates for me then give me a PM or post on this thread ;)

The last couple of pages are a bit of a mix but this will always be the case until people have a confirmed flying & landing date they will then be moved up the list into the correct place :)

To bring the list up to treble figures, we arrived in Perth on 24th May this year. Gary (39) Purchasing Manager, Claire (30) Housewife, Oliver (1) currently residing in Lesmurdie.

Very thankful that it's now starting to warm up and we can enjoy the pool:thumbsup:

Can we be added to this list? right at the start of the process, OH going for a reccie and hopefully interview in November.
Our details: Danny (36) Psychiatric Nurse, Helen (35) Nurse, Tom (9), Adam (nearly 8), Scarlett 3 & Zoe (nearly 2).
Heading for Perth mid 2008 (fingers crossed!), not sure exactly where yet tho.

Hi rockpeblar & the harrys,

welcome to the thread, we are now over 100 families on the list :thumbup: rockpeblar, have put you in at no.3, the harrys, have put you in at no.91 for now.

I really do think this is working as intended & that people are making new friends before & after getting here because of this list :thumbsup: I know making friends was one of our biggest fears as we didn't know anyone before getting here & have already made a few good friends + our children also, which has made them settle in really well I think :)

Many thanks go to Sarah & Dave(mad.chef) who helped enormously by updating the list while we were in our last hectic weeks in the UK(& the 1st couple here!)

Anyone with any updates, whether it be booked flights or change of area(we have changed from Mandurah/Secret Harbour to Warbro/Port Kennedy) let me know & I'll update the list :thumbup: Also if you can let me know when you have landed or if anyone knows someone has landed let me know as soon as able & I can shade them blue :thumbsup:

Just wanted to say what a great job you and mad chef have done with the list :thumbsup:.

By looking at the list i have pm d some BE users that i know are going in the same area as us, so you are right about the meeting and making new friends.

You dont know how many people have said that bout richard over the years you made me laugh, i wonder if he could make money as a double?

Too late i think he also gets told he looks like Magnam pi do you remember him, bit scarey really as his name is Richard Wilson (i dont belive it) i always tell him he is grumpy just like him. lol.

Not really sure what im gonna do when we get there i would like something that is gonna work around my youngest son to be there when he gets home from school as i think he may find it hard to start with.
