I guess on one hand that is correct, but If you look at the statistics on house building you'd see major slowdown, a lot of that is blamed on new legislation. I know its all anecdotal but I just tried to get some work done at home and all the tradies I called were offering silly rates to get some work citing a huge slowdown . So in my sample of 10 people I called 5 electricians and 5 driveway pavers they were all saying the same thing - slow slow slow and prices are negotiable.
You really cannot help around here looking at the shops and seeing *newly* empty retail units and these are major brands as well as the local stuff. There is a reason all the retailers are on permanent 'sale'.
I really think we're in for a big hit, not sure what will trigger it - perhaps the end of the spending on school buildings projects that complete, or some other event.

I should get a job at News.com.au as a reporter, but on second thoughts I can spell.
