These kind of things happen when the local, indigenous population are ignored by the government/authorities and/or the incoming people do not integrate and assimilate - and are not required to by the government/authorities.

Many lessons being learnt all over the world when it comes to this shite.

Except that you may well find that the lebanese people from that area had been there longer than some of the white people "protesting". I don't see the white population of this country doing much in terms of assimilating with the indigenous Australians. In fact, if anything I would see more evidence of the white population expecting the indigenous Australians to assimilate with them.

Here we go again... its all the fault of those nasty white folk.

It's quite amazing really why so many people, try so hard, to get into countries dominated by those evil white devils. It must be awful for you?

Probably closer to the truth in some areas.

That's quite an interesting comment actually, especially coming from an Indian.

It ain't fashionable but the problem is not really fixable, and there has already been a lot done.

While you possess the architypal British Colonial attitude towards anywhere or anyone that is different to you or your way of living, unable to understand or accept anything that doesn't conform to your way of thinking.

If white people assimilate into aboriginal culture that means going back to living in the stone age not even the aboriginals want to do that, they prefer all the mod cons that come with the white mans way of life

So therefore assimilation is not the way then? Maybe it's just an excuse?
