These kind of things happen when the local, indigenous population are ignored by the government/authorities and/or the incoming people do not integrate and assimilate - and are not required to by the government/authorities.

Except that you may well find that the lebanese people from that area had been there longer than some of the white people "protesting". I don't see the white population of this country doing much in terms of assimilating with the indigenous Australians. In fact, if anything I would see more evidence of the white population expecting the indigenous Australians to assimilate with them.

Locals and the indigenious are already pamperd a lot by Centrelink,for which they should thank the govt and tax payers. What more do they expect - a Royal lifestyle ? :blink:

If white people assimilate into aboriginal culture that means going back to living in the stone age not even the aboriginals want to do that, they prefer all the mod cons that come with the white mans way of life
