I just downloaded and watched the first episode of this. No offence to the people featured on the programme as I don't know them but what an absolute pile of shite!!! What a waste of 200MB of my download limit!

Personally I'd avoid the temptation, at least until your kids are old enough to stay in the UK if they wanted to

the gold coast is not all its cracked up to be. Ive been out here for 40 years from uk. even my husband hates it and he is Australian. You cant never get a park its all food places and cheap shops. It was way better in the 70s. Id say its gone down hill. And now there is a huge crime wave on the coast.
The seasides resort in uk are far better. If only you had the weather there. I was back in uk last year for a months holiday.
I often show my husband the seasides on google e.t.c like weymouth
so many nice amusement places e.t.c and its all spread out not all crammed in one place. and if you get fed up with weymouth you can move on to another resort.

I have lived in Melbourne since 1973 i have been to the gold coast 4 times,
Its a great place for a few weeks holiday during the winter.
Coach trips theme parks a mini Disneyland.
When you watch the news and the weather forcast is the longest bit you
realise its a tourist sun sea spend money life.
You make friends with people and in two weeks they have gone back home.
I watch the show from pirate bay and every English migrant who comes out here
will be meter maids shark feeders or long distance swimmers within three weeks.
The gold coast is a great place but if you want a normal life forget it it has no soul.
Opera Plays Theatre books art galleries dont look for them on the gold coast.

I'm not arguing with your conclusions just surprised you would feel you knew the place so completely from a few holidays. The Gold Coast has the tourist bits that you probably went to and know well and then the local parts that cater for its 500,000 population that most tourists never see?
what about this bit?

Yehp I think you would Like my Brothers Part of Milton Keynes in Simpson Village... you can actually see his house and one of his cars in this Wiki Pic... down past the Thatched Cottage on the right....

Plus less than 300 meters from his house....

and his Local Pub about 600 meters away...

Might as well add the Church seeing as it's about 150 Meters from his front door.

All Slap bang in the Middle of Milton Keynes.... walking distance to the football ground... if you fancy a hike. Quite different from where my Parents moved to at Galley Hill Stony Stratford Milton Keynes.... Although Stony Itself is a lovely looking place. I actually commuted from there to EC1 every day for about a year until I could stand it no more and moved out of home... circa 75.
