Simply put......
You will make stage payments.
Deposit.
Payment when slab is laid (concrete foundations)
Payment when basic structure is complete.
Payment when completed.
That is a VERY simple explanation.
Do watch out for the extras in the showhouses, they always have the top specs and will rack up the bill terribly!!!

If you want everything brand new and "nearly" how you wanted and imagined it - well yes.
Don't forget that you will have to rent somewhere for 12 months.
Also you have to make many more decisions on fitments and inclusions than on a new build in the UK.A friend of mine has just moved into his new build a few weeks and is happy - apart from a couple of quality issues.
The plus side of an established house is that you can move in right away - house purchase/selling is sooo much quicker here.

It all depends on you.

Just an aside, Sush. I left the office today at 12, so if you emailed me at work I won't get it for another week or so. If not, can it wait until I get back into work on the 3rd May?

This is my first post so hi to everyone.
Getting married in June and we're going to Sydney and Adelaide for our honeymoon as my wife to be has family in Adelaide.
Hoping to do some research whilst we're there as we've decided we'd like to emigrate in the next couple of years, so it's nice to see from this thread that there's alot of people also going to Adelaide.
Anyone know what Adelaide is like for IT jobs? I'm a Systems Programmer.
Cheers
Scott
