Re: Looking for advice
Well the first you know not to be true. My feedback is that not only Perth is compromised. Do you really think Australia is a sh;thole? Probably right as many would agree Sydney certainly is. Regardless of my situation, which isn't at all bad, I've felt no compulsion to pursue illegal avenues to obtain further wealth.
As I wrote if Australia had a system in place as do some European countries, the knowledge of not fearing old age or illness may keep more on the straight and narrow and/or not necessitate the ripping off or cheating of others.. Although greed has increasingly invaded this nation's Dand A.

Margaret Thatcher did more good than bad in my opinions heaven only knows what the country would be like now if we’d kept the unions running the then government industries, We would have had strikes for more pay less hours every year and higher taxes to pay for all of this and paid by honest hard working people. Socialism and Communism are idealistic dreams but they have never worked and never will because of human nature.
I am NOT politically correct one thing I recently thought amusing.. Watching the news one morning S.B.S. Where they have the Indian news. The commentator was buzzing! Because a man of
Indian heritage was in the top job! He said the Empire now has as its head a son of India he went on to say..... Perhaps the British are changing their racist views at last. I won't tell you what I was thinking as it is not politically correct all I will say is..... British are so racist! Would India accept a white man of European descent as president??? Joking !
Its like the M.O.B.O.S. How would a M.O.W.O.S. Go down? I am far from Racist before anyone wants to have a dig I have 5 nationalities in my family and a mixed race child of my own. I am just tired of this lets beat up the British forever and blame them for colonising countries and enslaving people. Lol! Its an absolute joke! Lots of white people were slaves it does not belong to black skinned people it gas happened that they were amongst the last race to be slaves. I don't believe colonising exists actually we are all humans and the planet belongs to everyone I guess the sooner borders and flags are removed the better.

She most certainly did. The Argentines were led to believe that Britain would not go to war over The Falklands and it appeared to be a somewhat hasty decision to do so in order to counter great unpopularity at home. Nothing like a spot of jingoism to settle the horses. Resouces would have played a part , but doesn't explain Britain's tardiness in waving the stick earlier. A war does not need amount to an invasion of another land. It was a war clear and simple. Probably why it is termed The Falkland War.
I suspect Wilson saw the futility in getting involved in a civil war . Not forgetting Britain had troops in Vietnam after the Japanese surrender after WW2. Labour done well to resist American attempts to involve them.
Like much in life the question is who will profit from a particular action rather than any moral stance and usually that profit is financial . Nothing new there.
While as you state China has the biggest navy, the USA remains by far the most component navy. They have massive blue water capabilities, far exceeding China , who has numerous small vessels , more for coastal defense than offensive overseas power.

Re Harold wilson ...... He was morally opposed to the Vietnam war and could see that it would end in folly ! Its a pity the Labour leader Tony Blair didn't have the same view as Harold Wilson isn't it.

Can't you refrain from sprouting your nonsense. Drugs riddle Australia and impacting on all walks of society. Australians remain the biggest casual users of drugs in the world. Yes pretty much all of Perth is impacted as real estate agents will concede. Better suburbs make it while I guess, poorer ones are victims of it. Only you can answer why you appear in denial with regards to this cancer sweeping Australia and corrupting in the process.

Re: Looking for advice
I have to agree on this not long after we had first arrived in Perth WA we went our first party ((organised through a football club) half way through the night I said to my OH “the ladies toilets smell funny (and not in the way you may think lol) and they are packed” he said “that’s the drugs” I was shocked as I had never been anywhere were “doing” drugs was “normal” the crowd at the party were from all “walks of life” even the club secretary was “smoking away” this was back in 1998….fast forward a few years later and two friends children “passed away” through drugs one went to a very posh school in Perth the other was from a really nice and “normal” family…drugs do not have a class system and in my opinion there are no excuses to take drugs unless for real medical alignments.
As for class system, that's true to an extent, but those that I see really impacted on the streets tend to be the vulnerable. It is playing havoc on Aboriginal communities as well as smaller country communities. We have lost this and just waiting for the meth market to become too crowded (less money to be made) and heroin and cocaine to compete in the market . At least those are not of the simplicity to make that would allow mass manufacture in their kitchens, bedrooms, laundries, camper vans and toilets.

Kids don't drink anymore compared to previous generations. Less sex it's said as well. There is no place to move in Perth that is not without 'issues'. Insane as to how widespread it is. Any real estate will know, most tradies as well. One would have to be very unaware to not have some knowledge as to what is going on. I'm sure Sydney would not differ too much. Many do know the increasing 'new norm' though.

Sydney is very different to Perth on many accounts. As I keep reminding you, what happens in isolated Perth isn't reflective everywhere else. Same seems to be the case for sex. Sex is going crazy in Brisbane so this bored housewife says.

Sadly while Perth is a standout on the matter, it is far from alone. We are attracting numerous Vic's especially (from high number of plates in Inner City, and lesser but noticeable QLD followed by SA plates) It can only be higher rewards attracting them over this side. I think I mentioned The Daily Mail's recent heading on the drug issue getting out of hand in Sydney. I wonder if those bored Brisbane teens will set a trend? Out of the kitchen and into the bed?
One thing that is very distinct in Perth is the amount of anti social people that just hover in the city after dark. You don't really get it on such a prolific scale in other Australian cities as you do in Perth. If you are out in Perth and need to get back to a hotel on Hay Street by foot is not exactly a relaxing affair. Don't get this in any other Australian city.

Nope, just look at the rag its printed in. We have to read that piece of junk, and the Courier Mail daily for work. There's an increasingly large amount of totally ridiculous stories like this in both of them, but the truth is that people fall for the clickbait, and even subscribe so that they can read this junk. While people pay money to see what the story is behind the sensational headlines, the papers will keep publishing garbage.
