Gillard is a true red
Been saying on the news today that Julia Gillard is an atheist and a socialist - perfect qualities for a true red.

Athiest works for me...religious beliefs should be kept out of politics.

Perhaps instead of chasing the miners then she should be removing the tax exempt status of all those 'Religions'. They're run as businesses, so why not pay tax as businesses?

Sounds like a good idea to me. I certainly won't miss KRudd's pious speeches from the steps of his church.
If it weren't for the Labor government's assault on the internet and free speech, I would say that she was almost worthy of my vote.

I'm not suggesting we would want some Yank, God bothering type, but I really can't see what the issue is, if a politician was to quietly follow a religion whilst in office.

She's only staying quiet cause really she's a Welsh Druid and doesn't want to be accused of witchcraft.

Why though? If a politician was to try and abide by Christian beliefs I would have thought they would be all the better for it... compassion for fellow man and all that stuff.

I don't believe in god but I can still do the compassion for fellow man and all that, not got anything to do with religion in my book, just decent human behaviour.
