Thing is, I'd imagine this whole one-sided thing happens quite a lot. We're lucky in that I am (and always have been) totally for moving to Oz. If anything, it's getting Mr Bundy, who is revelling in the pommie life, to remember all the good things about Oz and set a return date! But we both know that it is where our future lies (visas allowing) so that's not been an issue. Plus no kids etc makes it much easier

I can understand why she found it so hard to stay there but viewing between the frames of the programme, the hubby must have applied considerable pressure for them to go. She obviously didn't make her feelings known well enough before they were too far down the road for them to pull out. Either that or he just didn't listen... nobody know what went off before the program picked up the story.

Yep, life for expats can get complicated. You get the families migrating where some want to move and others don't, where it is one person's dream (eg Steve's) and not the other's .... and you get the couples where one person comes from UK and the other from Oz (or any 2 different countries). You get couples who move where one can get work and other can't, where one makes friends easily and the other doesn't .... and you don't even have to move to have these problems as the divorce rate figures show.

If you watch that clip carefully, you can see her husband cutting the tow line, and then chucking a bucket of chum in.

I still haven't recovered from the shock of my slightly portly, sport-hating father announcing he used to be a water-skiing champion. So maybe I would be good at it. Think I might try (in aussie waters, though, for warmth and cleanliness).

Can't say I've ever tried, but I've no doubt I could well be that useless.
