#1
What kind of clothes shops are there? Im not in to designer gear and often get clothes from dorothy perkins , bhs and next for my self. For the kids i use woolies (which must be in oz as i heard people mention them), adams and matalan.
Are there shops similar to the ones mentioned?

Hi Mand you won't get kids clothes in Woolies chuck its a food supermarket
but don't worry you will have plenty of choice for you and the bubs and when we were over on hols the sales seem to go on forever.
You just have to get used to shopping around for the bargains but they are out there.

When people mention Woolies it's a supermarket not Woolies as in the UK. General High Street clothes are ok here and I speak as a mother of 4, you don't need as many clothes here (IMHO). Comparable stores here to the ones you buy from now would be KMart, Big W, Best and Less, Pumpkin Patch and Espirit. Personally I like Espirit, Colorado and Sussan for myself. I don't find people as hung up on labels here as they are in the UK
, Billabong is naturally big here!!Stock up on undies though......I miss M&S for those!!!!!

I've been disappointed with clothes available for my 2 year old. I used to get a lot from Asda & Tesco in UK, quite cheap, but still ok. I find it expensive over here in comparison. Just found nice pj's in Big W for $10 which was fine, but no-where near same choice, unless you want to pay what I would say is over the odds. Even Target, which is renouned for have everything, can be $15 just for t-shirt for her, where in UK could get ones in Matalan for about £4. Perhaps it's just because I'm hving to watch the pennies a lot more since we came
Will be asking Grandma to bring me a stash over when she comes. I'd say stock up in the summer sales if you can

i watch the pennies here all the time with 3 boys they go through clothes so quickly i begrudge paying too much when i just know they will wreck them before they have out grown them.
Has any one got clothes over the internet from uk stores delivered to oz?

No,I did try looking at Tesco website, thought I could look for something for Grandma to bring,ut it didn't seem to showthe clothes, just a few sample items. Checked out Next, but doubt they deliver here, but I' sure I've read on here before that Next have a store in Perth? or perhaps I was dreaming

Yes Mandy lots of similar clothes shops. Lots of designer shops if you like that sort of thing but of M&S knickers anywhere to be found or so I'm told lol
Surprised you've not been and sampled the place before trying to move out there, but to each their own
