Oh dear, Im so sorry that its such bad news Bundy . I know what it was like when my mum was sick, its like being in a dream, you wake in the morning & for just half a second you have forgotten what is happening & then it suddenly hits you & you feel like you cant face anymore, but you have to .
Anyway, ditto to what everyone else has said, keeping fingers crossed that you get the best outcome possible.

Hi Bundy
I was really sorry to hear your news. Cyber hugs to you and your Mum and lets hope things start to get better with some new treatment. It must be hard for you being away from your Mum. Mrs H went through the same thing before we got married and it is not easy for anyone.
I hope you do get some good news soon
Alastair

Awaiting the next round of tests, but at best it will mean more radiotherapy, new drugs, probable surgery and at worst a batch of chemo and then palliative care for what little time she will have left. Needless to say, we're all hoping it's not yet spread to her liver.
I'm very, very angry with the medical profession because we've been trying to get someone to take note since August and now all this has happened, and all anyone can do is *apologise*.
My dad is wobbling again but I can't get out there because it's my younger brother's graduation at the end of the week and Mr B and I are already having to go as surrogate parents because my mum is too sick....and after that my mum should be on her way over to Southampton for radiotherapy so I may be needed here (or in Jersey house-sitting).
We're basically right back to where we were in February and the feeling doesn't get any better or any easier the second time round. At the moment, I'm more angry than upset, but that will follow I suppose.
If I haven't already exhausted the supply, some more cyberhugs, positive thinking, prayers and anything else anyone could think of would be very much appreciated because I'm fast running out of energy...

Thanks everyone....
Nobody chooses to be in this situation but you can choose how you deal with it, which is better than nothing I suppose. Or, as my younger brother is fond of saying 'sh*t happens, but it doesn't need to stick'

Hi Bundy,
This is the first time I have read this thread and I do understand, nursed my Grandfather for a very long time.
I just wanted to write that I'm not a counsellor, but I am a friendly youth worker, who acts as a good sounding board for people of all ages (Glaswegian - so not offended by swearing). If you need to sound off - you know where I am.x
Sending you lots of cyberhugs and best wishes

Bundy, honey so sorry to just read the last lot of stuff. I am bloody angry for you, god knows how you are coping. But you must remember to look after yourself as well as the rest of the family.
Hope everyone enjoys ( ) your brother's graduation as much as you can.
Cyber hugs and karma flying up the A1 as we speak. All the best.

She's on a new cocktail of drugs which seem to be working and she's not looking too bad. Just made her watercress soup (fat and diary free )
My dad's wobbling - tears at the airport as expected, but he's calming down now I'm here.
I've got a day of ironing tomorrow and then will be pestering the hospice, GP and oncology department on Monday until I get someone to do something about the pain my mum is in. Wheeling out the family stubborn streak again....
Anyway, thanks for all your thoughts and words and PMs - all greatly appreciated as ever. BundyMum says hello to you all.

You poor thing - I've been reading your story since the beginning of the year and keep hoping its going to get better for you, you're certainly having it tough. Lots and lots of cyber hugs and positive thoughts coming your way. Hope you can make the best of the graduation, as its a one-off thing and try and relax and have 'fun' for a couple of hours at least.
Energy being sent your way also......................
