We do. takes an hour longer than white. Not sure of the calories etc, I'm sure it's similar to supermarket bread. We often use half water, half milk instead of just water, definitely improves the taste.

Nedlands is a very pricey area, known as one of the 'top' suburbs here in Perth. I can't really tell you areas that I feel would be good for you unless I have a rough idea of how much you'd be looking to pay for rent or otherwise, but if you would like more info, I don't mind helping, as I'm sure other posters who live here won't mind either.
I am hoping that, once I get over next week, I can start getting a good feel for the places to be and what the various areas have to offer in the way of schools etc - I have a 7year old and 4 year old who will need to be in school/pre-school which is probably the biggest factor in all of this.
Thanks for the offer of help, much appreciated.
PS - I am not looking for a sea-view, pool, boat, servants, 23 bedrooms and quadruple garages! an nice simple 3 bed (or 4 if it isn't too extravagant) apartment/house/townhouse and that's about it.

Thanks for that, I got the impression that it was a bit pricey when I looked online. I would say that up to a max of $400 pw will be the thing, but I would prefer something in the $280 - $320 pw range. I have looked online at Realestate.com.au and there are plenty of places but I just have no idea of whether they are ok or not!

There are so many, I have seen some nice ones in Bunbury, Quinns Rocks and Maddington as well as an apartment in North Perth (Kadina Street) and also Dalyellup to name but a few. The extensive number of rental properties is staggering! and the prices all seem pretty reasonable. ALl of the ones I have seen in the above locations are no more than $300pw and in some of these cases they are 4 bed houses, which appears to be good by my reckoning.

You said you you wanted easy access to the city as I recall. If so, Bunbury & Dalyellup are down south, quite a distance from the city and you would have to drive in. Maddington is closer, but still alot further than I would want if I was travelling into the city each day. Quinns Rocks is a good 40 mins. drive to the city, but you can park and ride from Clarkson Station. Personally, I wouldn't have said North Perth was great for children.
