That's just crap. You can't just look at raw statistics like you seem to want to, you need to humanize them.
With a higher road death rate per population, it means relatively more people are affected by those deaths. Surely you would agree on a human level that it gets worse with increasing numbers of people affected from someone dying from a road death - therefore a higher rate of road deaths per population is a bad thing, and is a perfectly valid way of looking at (and humanizing) such statistics.

Because its based on personal experience? In my case I don't drive half as much here as I did in the UK so that probably skews things.. but I still haven't had any experience of bad driving (other than the tailgating which certainly isn't unique to Australia). People generally acknowledge courtesy, people are generally courteous, just because most people on here don't see it doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.
When I went back late last year I was absolutely amazed at the difference in the standard between the 2 countries, I never in all the miles I did while there feel threatened or in danger because drivers appeared to know what they were doing.
Unfortunately, when I went back in September/October, I frequently saw the same bad driving I saw before we left the UK.

I gave up riding a bike here mostly due to the terrible standard of driving, you just never know what they are going to do next. Drivers here are just so rude and seem to totally lack courtesy and common sense.

Yes, because they would severely skew the stats! There wouldn't be enough of them to have any impact on such a stat. You're talking about one percenters.
Ideally, you would base the death toll on the number of drivers there are in each country (not the population or registered vehicles), but such data wouldn't exist. The reason I chose the number of registered vehicles is simply because that data would be readily available

We differentiate people according to where they live in UK, even though the individual countries are tiny both geographically and in terms of population. Then we have the ignorance and arrogance to call all people with certain physical characteristics 'Asian', showing a total disregard for their nationality. Hope that helps.

Not sure why grouping is always ignorant and arrogant, though I'm sure I could come up with some cases where it could be if you are precluding people of certain races from being a particular nationality. Maybe I've missed your point. If I refer to Europeans one day because I want to refer to people who reside in Europe and then Italians the next depending on the context that seems fine to me. Calling someone European doesn't mean you never call them Italian when context demands it? And it doesn't mean you are referring to look rather than nationality.

We are going to the UK for a month after living here on the Gold Coast for 6 years.
Will have to remember not to undertake or alternatively not sit in the right hand lane at 5kph less than the traffic flow because I can't be bothered to move over.
I may be naive but assume that in the UK drivers will be keeping left and for the most part paying attention.

Well I can only speak from my own experience late last year, driving on British roads again was a breath of fresh air, far less aggression, far more courtesy and an overall much better standard. I was never undertaken and yes for the most part the drivers appear to be paying attention. Of course others apparently find the total opposite.

But enjoy sitting behind OAPs doing 20-25mph just about everywhere!
