England officially can't "loose" the ashes this year! Granted if we loose the last match Aus will retain them....but still.

Gooooood work boyz!!!!

Apart from the fact they live in England, and we held them for a great part of the last century. Oh and not forgetting the long range weather forecast for the Oval is for miserable weather

Lets face it Australia have been outplayed outclassed and out thought, with the exception of Lee and Warne, and possibly Gilchrist you havent got a player that would get in the England team at the moment.

Be little point in having ashes then, would there? Might as well just flush 'em right now while you still have the chance.

They don't look like the usual aussie team out there.

Just because the Ashes are held in England does'nt mean they belong to you. theres plans to have them returned home to OZ.

Dont hold your breath, probably more chance of the Elgin marbles being returned, than the Ashes coming back to Sunbury.

Hi Twiggy.

Come on for god's sake people, wake up and smell the stench of an England team on the verge of another characteristic capitulation.

They are a spineless side who have got very lucky in one match, thats it!

They were soundly beaten in the first test.

The second test they scraped home by 2 runs

We all know they were unlucky in the third and drew a match they could/should of won

The fourth test last night went a lot closer than it should have and had a few dodgy decisions not been made and a bit of sportsmanship by England Ponting's boys would have been holding the ashes aloft.

The fifth test they will win by 200 runs IMHO.

I thought they were pretty sporting.....Hoggard told Lee he hadnt hit the ball in one of the final overs, Jones told the umpire he had taken the bails off, not the ball etc etc etc. Regarding the breaks......3 words.....Aussie....media....hype.... Look at how many breaks Mcgath took in the 2nd test. Jones is injured just as genuinly as he was.

And by the way....all these close games, are close becuase England has a good team, not becuase Australia is playing poorly. Australia batting "under thier usual standards". Don't you think that the bowling side has any influence on that?

Ill agree 100% that England were soundly beaten in the 1st test, but my feeling is that Australia was pretty soundly beaten yesterday. Granted a bit of a typical English "wobble" in the final innings made things exciting, but lets not forget about the first innings, nor the follow on.

Its been a great competition, somthing thankfully even most Australians are admitting.

I think some of the Aussie commentators have been great this ashes. Some of them have been accused and are tacitily admitting that they would like to see England win.

Thank gawd we got some competion back in it again.
