Forgot to say Mick Dundee, spiders again and the way the house prices have knocked our '****ing plans sideways' quote from OH.
Also on a plus side made me think of positives about home, Percy French, Oscar Wilde, George Best, George Bernard Shaw, Alex Higgins, Molly Malone and not forgetting Liam Neeson.
- Well at least it beats Colonel Saunders!!!!!!!!
Good Luck,
Croc

The amount of time one has to wait at traffic lights
Wrong Way Go Back signs
The amount of profanities spoken................by ladies!
The way a kangaroo lies on the ground after being clobbered by a car
The way everyone says 'See you later' at the end of every interaction - especially shops - when you (and they) know full well you will not see them at all

Traffic Lights in London, are worse than Oz.
Profanities spoken by ladies, again worse in UK.
WTF a roo has to do with the entire scope of things is beyond me, but yes its a negative !
The friendly way in which ppl in shops talk to you, is a negative? You for real?

Errrrrrrrrrr....................do I know you??
Agreed it is fairly simple:
I thought this is a thread on the Australia forum, obviously I am incorrect and it is really a thread on let's compare OZ to the UK forum instead.
Please read my comments as if they were meant for an Australia forum, I state again,
Yes it is a long wait at traffic lights
Yes profanities are spoken by ladies
Yes kangaroos do lie in a strange position when clobbered by a car (IMVHO)
I love the friendly way people talk in the shops, but what I said was
Nothing at all about the service provided.
Finally, yes I am for real..........are you a troll?

I think, with due respect Mr Nice Guy has misconstrued the title of this thread, and the replies to what he considers negative.

Might be better if you posted that question on a UK forum and not an Australia forum.
Strangely enough so is yours just under your user name..............
I thought the title of the thread was/is
anything negative!!!

My point was as Mark suggests.. but I was also referring to classifying what is negative as opposed to what is positive.
The fact we are on an Aussie forum, and the thread title, Anything Negative !! , to me implies, compared to the UK as it was by a United Kingdom poster.
So by stating that women swear, traffic lights etc..
to me anyway, infers that its a negative in oz compared to the uk.
Apologies if I have the wrong end of the stick.
But surely wouldnt a negative of Australia be..
distances for commuting
humid weather in summer
etc.

I think that Timber floor aus was merely making the observation that the usage of profane language by the female population is something that happens the world over....be it in Aus, UK, or Greenland.
Do you really think that Aussie women are always swearing ? Where do you live? Prisoner cell block H?

I live in Queensland, what Prisoner cell bock H has to do with it is beyond me............each to their own.

Hi,
Anybody got anything negative to say about life in Oz? It's something we will always regret not emigrating when we had the chance many moons ago. So it will make me feel a little better about the decision if I could read some negative comments. Come on, cheer me up while I look out at pouring rain, pleaaaaase? Anything???

That is pretty negative. FWIW I lived 3 hours down the M6 from my mother when she was dying and I still didn't get there in time.
