But the stuff in Australia just doesnt taste right!

I thought it was just my taste had changed, but here in Singapore, they import HP sauce from the UK, and it definitely is better than the aussie version

I've tried Aussie Marmite and it's not the same. Where can I get UK Marmite?

IIRC, the HP Sauce available in Australia is produced by McCormick Foods in Sydney from local and imported ingredients.

In any case, now that HP Sauce has gone to the Netherlands, you'll be eating foreign HP whether you like it or not

And HP Sauce is owned by Heinz - a Yank company - so it hasn't been British for years.

Hah! Manufactured in Britain and distributed in Australia; ergo, real HP Sauce.

So it is the real thing after all, which means that the alleged "taste difference" must be nothing more than a perception of difference.
