proper Marmite is readily available in supermarkets. The only difference is it's called "Our Mate" it's not expensive either.

Possession of Marmite is perfectly legal - make sure the jars are sealed, make sure you declare it.
The only problem I could forsee would be them asking if it was for "personal use" or for resale - if you imported a large amount they might feel it was a profit making exercise, but if its obviously part of a consignment of household stuff I can't really see a problem with just a couple of cases

For a definitive answer, email AQIS, but I think you'd be fine

(personally I prefer Vegemite, but i can see exactly why you you are asking, there are things I feel like this about!)

Ohhhh at last someone that can answer my question!! Thank you will email AQIS tomorrow!!!!!! Only talking about bringing a case which is what 20 jars??

It's not very expensive at all, a 250g jar is $2.49 in Woolworth's Australia, a 250g jar in Tesco U.K is £1.99. If you wanted to compare at todays exchange rate your jar of Aussie marmite would cost you £0.98 or half the price of your Tesco one. It's on just about every supermarket chain's shelves. I can't understand why you would ship over something you can already buy cheaper here. It's the genuine stuff too not the Aussie equivalent.
Now if it were proper mint sauce you were shipping and not the syrupy sweet jelly they sell here I could understand 100%

Get the mint sauce in the 'fresh herb' toothpaste tube things in the veg section at the supermarket ' gourmet garden mint herb blend' it's the nearest thing to the real stuff not a few chopped leaves floating in watery-liquid...... now if it was Colemans tartare sauce you were talking about....

It's EXACTLY the same, the "our mate" - not the Kiwi crap labelled Marmite.

Take my word for it, your wasting your time trying to ship a case of something that you can easily get here. As they say "same shit different bucket"

Can I get someone to back me up please!!!

"...There is also an imported version called "Our Mate" which is produced by Unilever in the UK. These are also sold in the 125g size, and look identical to UK Marmite except for the name. The taste is also identical to UK Marmite. The label states "Made in the UK by Unilever Bestfoods"."

AND

"Marmite as we know and love it is made at Burton on Trent, the exact same product can be found in Australia and NZ under the name of Our Mate! Made in Burton we just can't use the Marmite name, someone else owns it!! "

You're completely right. "Our Mate" is exactly the same as UK Marmite. Around here it sells for about $3.25 for a 125g jar.
