What risk??? You have to declare all food items as I understand, but it is a Yeast Product, not on any of the restricted foods, and ALL the pots will be sealed?? So what is the RISK???

And YES it is worth it!!!

The customs WILL open your container which will delay your stuff and who knows it may cause other unknown drama's...trust me in 8-10 weeks time you will be gagging for your belonging's which may be delayed all for a poxy case of marmite...of its worth it then take it...but why ask the question in the first place?

We all like Marmite in our house, in fact my son used to eat it with a spoon but I do think there are far more important things to put in the container and we can certainly live without it

MARMITE RULES!!!
Customs/AQIS will open your container anyway, possession of Marmite won't delay it at all.
Possession of Marmite is perfectly legal - make sure the jars are sealed, make sure you declare it.
The only problem I could forsee would be them asking if it was for "personal use" or for resale - if you imported a large amount they might feel it was a profit making exercise, but if its obviously part of a consignment of household stuff I can't really see a problem with just a couple of cases

For a definitive answer, email AQIS, but I think you'd be fine

(personally I prefer Vegemite, but i can see exactly why you you are asking, there are things I feel like this about!)
