I grew up In Alton!!! Small world. My parents are still there and my sister.
Used to go to nightclub in Basingstoke about 20 years ago!!!
Lots of roundabouts, learn't to drive using them for practise.

Tell me about the roundabouts....hihihi.. I'm from Holland and came over here about 6.5 years ago and was a bit confused with all those roundabouts to start with...:D

Where about in Oz are you hoping to go??
We are thinking Brisbane or Adelaide we can't make up our minds...:o

We are all set to go to Brisbane and hope to settle in Bray Park/Joyner areas as kids have a place in school and I have a job in Redcliffe.

Jobwise for my OH we think he'll have a better chance in Brisbane because he is a Business Analyst ...
We've been to Redcliff to the beach area when we were there last march, it was lovely!!!

I don't know yet what I'm going to do...I work as a deputy in a nursery now but have to do courses when we come to OZ because they don't recognise NVQ3...:unsure:

Im sure I remember reading on here last year that some people got there visa on 2nd Jan, so perhaps that's when DIAC go back to work!

Same from here, happy New Year to everyone out there and hope we all have a fantastic 2008 even if most of us will be suffering in the morning (and possibly most of tomorrow if you are like myself) but the thought of New Year in high temperatures next year MMMmmmmm.

Just for additional info, the next updated processing times are due out on 8th Jan so i would imagine that the DIAC will be well and truely back into work by then - hopefully most of us will have unread post with our agents too :)
