Hi Dor
Thanks for posting - it's great to hear that things are beginning to fall into place for you.
We too are bringing dogs - who did you ship yours with ? We got a quote yesterday from Ladyhaye of STG 4700.00 for the two of them - excluding the quarantine fees / boarding etc over there.
Does anyone know if you can arrange for your own insurance for shipping your stuff ? Just feel that 3% of the sum insurance is a lot - esp. when you think of how much we pay for house insurance annually in comparison.
However, perhaps we're paying for peace of mind ??????

Hi,
We used a company based in Dublin called Airsea. Our dog is only small about the size of a Jack Russell. We paid 1800Euro, this is just for flights and we will pay for quarantine when we collect him. Their website is www.airsea.ie if you want to check it out. They seemed to be alot cheaper and this price includes flying him from Dublin.(and its euro not stirling!) Hope this helps. Regarding the insurance we just went with the insurance through the removal company. Take care and good luck. If you need any more info just let me know

Any of you had to claim tax back yet? I'll have to do it when I finished work but just wondered how straight forward it is and how long it would take.

The construction industry is on it's knees basically (I should know .... I'm in it).
Developers aren't developing, banks aren't lending, houses aren't selling (two in my estate have been on the market for well over a year at this stage), unemployment is rising daily (my father in law was let go on Wednesday).
Of course the knock on of this is that people are being very cautious with their spending cos they are afraid of what is around the corner.
Did you hear that our budget is being brought forward to October this year ?
The agent I used to get my visa says she is extremely busy with enquiries at the moment.
How long have you been in Perth - any thoughts for those who are heading there ?
