we are aiming for settlement on my house on 27th june - think a delay of a couple of days may be a good idea

have a look at the stamp duty website and see if you are eligible for a full refund anyway.... it all depends on the price of the house and i cant remember what the cut off is here in wa

Stamp duty is payable on the contract not the settlement date so it is due on the date the contract is signed but normally paid at settlement. We lost $2000 last time stamp duty was reduced in WA because of this.
