i am so miffed, we lose out by ONE MONTH :(
always happens to us! still, we just drove past our new house... no street lights, so lovely and dark and QUIET :thumbup: helped cheer me up a bit three weeks to go :thumbup: |

Given the interest rates and the house prices I'm not convinced that a $3000 cut in stamp duty (on $15000) will have such a dramatic effect on demand

well, you may not have to pay any... depends on the value of the house and whether you qualify for the first time buyer stamp duty rebate... i know when we bought our land we got the rebate (the land was only $125K though, not sure what the cut off is) and then we also got the first home buyers grant which was $7,000.
