If you stay in the inner suburbs, ie in Melbourne's case, within 10-15k of the CBD, or the semi-rural areas, you meet seriously interesting people. They remind me of the people I knew in the Armed...

Interesting. I certainly don't think Australians are more evolved lol. What I will say is though, that a lot of, not most, do have social and life skills that would be the pride of many a UK parent....

I recall a few days a year in Melly where I do the aussie salute.

And in the outback in NSW, and SW WA it was bad. But can't claim to see flies everywhere and often at all.
