The NEXUS card is supposed to get you in a shorter security line when travelling domestically but depending on which airports you use some don't always have that shorter line...

Canada and the US share their crossing info and when using NEXUS or ABC kiosks you will notice passports are never stamped.

Too many variables. The vast majority don't have any problems travelling back and forth. Crossing on long weekends can be a PITA but thats due to traveller volumes.

To be eligible for the NEXUS, you must be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada or the United States.

In other words those on a TWP cannot join NEXUS.

With a valid ESTA it just makes printing the I94 waiver easier and you still pay the $6. You can use the NEXUS lane but will be sent in for further processing.

You can choose to use any lane although you don't get NEXUS privileges in a non NEXUS lane. Just make sure if using a NEXUS lane that all persons in the vehicle are NEXUS members and have a NEXUS...

Depending which airport you fly into some have Canadian resident lines some just have one line for everyone. Only 3 airports have the ABC kiosks but the new Calgary terminal might have them....

They will either send you an email notification or letter if refused. I can't see on what grounds you would be refused but GOES is located in Vermont USA. People still can have NEXUS but denied...

Sometimes you get an instant response sometimes you have to wait for the update approval. I can't see any reason why it would be refused. As for calling the GOES helpline unless you have sadistic...

They will normally accept NEXUS if the line is marked NEXUS, Crew or Special Services.

Update the details and thats it. Global Entry kiosks will recognize the new passport when scanned and providing fingerprints and the kiosk will take a picture and answer the questions on the touch...

Well the card didn't cost you anything if they did :lol:
As far as Im aware it will be for the 5 years so you are getting a deal as once you have turned 18 and then apply you would pay the $50....

The standard answer is to make travelling and going through security easier. It doesn't even have to be international travel though it helps when coming back to Canada or the USA as you have access...
