The price of cheese seems to be an accepted obsession around these parts!

Congratulations on your speedy application.

I've noticed that most of the super quick applications processed since July have been common law ones. Hhmm

Sometimes CL is faster, sometimes M is faster. There were some stats done on the spreadsheets awhile back - if I remember correctly, in 2012 M applications were faster, but in 2013, CL apps were faster. (Or maybe it was the reverse.)

Ultimately I don't think it matters too much but personally I think CL is almost easier - you have to provide so much more information for it that I think it would be harder to fudge! Just my opinion, though!

Could be the case !

Ours is a married application, by the way, if you want to put it on the spread sheet

Mine is still only showing as having been received in Mississauga on 14th Nov and sponsor approval received a month later, so not sure London has even started processing it or that they've even received it.. ..will just have to be patient....

We are in the same boat Marie Louise, it's just the wait now. Appears from the spreadsheet the decision made could be anywhere between now and June. Just hope our application can be processed quickly and we can live together as a proper married couple; being apart for months on end with short visits in between is horrible.

Short visits are awful, I completely sympathise (sympathize? my dictionary is so confused) with that... my husband and I did long distance Sept-Dec this past year, really glad it's all over now. Hopefully not too much longer - encouraging that things have been picking up recently, there's been quite the flurry of activity - I remember last January everything slowed down because of IEC... but it looks like it's been a bit better this year.

Good luck!!

Hi everyone.... I'm hoping for a bit of a reassurance as I'm feeling really anxious about my PR application at the moment.

Application (married) was received July 2 in Mississauga, Sponsor Approval was July 19...and nothing since. It seems like loads of people have been getting their COPR in three months or less, which is awesome and gave me quite a bit of hope that mine would be quick too...but now I'm just worried that there's an issue with mine or something. I'm currently on my second IEC visa and that runs out in April so I'm really worried about the lack of movement. It's not even In Process yet!

Anyone else in the same boat?

Did you apply 'outland' via London (or elsewhere) or 'inland'?

I would send a case specific enquiry asking if there is any further information they require in order to finalise your application.

Definitely send the case specific enquiry as recommended. Have you lived in any other countries except your home country or Canada for more than 6 months? Any working in politics in military? These are the kind of things can can take the background checks to take longer...

Ok good idea, I'll do that. I've only lived in Canada and the UK. I lived in Germany but that was only for 5 months so I don't think it should have affected things. My case should be fairly straightforward (at least that's what I thought before all this waiting!) so I don't know what the issue could be

Can someone please add my husband and I to the spreadsheet when they have a chance? (Better late than never!) Outland through London. We applied as common-law, however, we got married, so sent them our marriage certificate. Don't know what that means for processing!

Application received on July 9th, 2013
Sponsor Approval August 26th, 2013 (Sadly took a while as they sent our entire package back to us over one question and we had to re-send it all!)

It has said "Application Received" and then "Medical results results have been received" for what seems like an eternity now, months and months! I know Ecas is unreliable but it would be nice to see some change!! Perhaps a "In Process" !!! I really need to stop checking it!

Thanks!
