Citizenship Application Timeline

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
Yes I've seen this before in relation to US and Canadian entries and my guess is it could be down to the time zone (as you know PST is behind most of the other N American time zones).

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
Just an FYI for anybody interested:
From Snowy's post about translations for passport stamps.
I contacted Mosaic Friday afternoon (as I had come spare time). Its very easy getting quote online but essentially the fee is $35 for up to 125 words and then $40 for 126-210. Anyone living in and around Vancouver can go to their office on Boundary road, show the documents and pay there. No affidavit required as Mosaic will send a declaration with the translation which will suffice IRCC.
Right now I have decided to wait until nearer the time to interview stage plus there is potential trip to Mexico coming up and although it will be after I send the application, for that price its probably better to get all non-english/french passport stamps to be translated regardless of when the trips occurred.
I was having nightmares that it would cost $200-$300 for the translations so I feel so much more relaxed about this

Yes they know exactly what is required from them for IRCC and are well known. Knowing they are a not for profit settlement agency is good.

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
Hi all,
So I applied for citizenship and received confirmation of receipt on Aug 29. It says online that the current processing times are 12 months..
I have also been planning to move to a different province, from Ontario to Nova Scotia, long story but the move is now going to be happening in March 2019.
I am aware that i’ll have to let them know of my change of address (as soon as I know it) and I’m aware this could cause a delay in the process which is not a problem (I’ve waited this long!).
I’m just wondering if anyone knows if the current processing times will be less than 12 months? Will my move to another province cause any problems other than a delay to the process? And if there’s anything else I should be aware of that I might not be thinking of right now?

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
Hi Everyone, I was getting concerned about my application for citizenship as no progress has happened on my online profile since July (applied in January). I have contacted CIC and they just send the same generic response back. I haven't got a test date yet and was wondering if this is a normal length of time to process applications? (my application is with IRCC Surrey BC)
Posted Application - Jan 3
AOR - Jan 11
Started Processing - April 16
Fingerprint Request - May 22
Confirmed Receipt of Fingerprints - July 16 (only via email after contacting them and not on my online profile)

Nobody can say for sure obviously - a lot of people seemed to get processed quicker than us but we had to inform them we were going to be out of the country for a good part of June and July so I feel like we may have been shoved back in the queue a bit.
Possibly same thing if you had to get fingerprints done then yours may be closer to the 12 month quoted processing time.

Hello all,
It's been a while but I am returning to BE because I have officially mailed in my citizenship app this afternoon
I look forward to restarting my angst and impatience!

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
Just wondering how the AOR is sent from IRCC. Is it via email or by regular mail. I know its going to take awhile to come through
Also at this point when AOR is received, can you then check your status online?

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
Email for us. But then some later things came by regular mail. It seems to vary from person to person from what I've seen, and isn't necessarily consistent across your entire application. So I can't say for sure what you'll get, haha.

I think you can check online before AOR is received -
