I can't say much what they want to verify. Everything is fair and square in my application. I have nothing to hide.
I have been waiting since 9 months now.
How long have you been waiting?

Guys needs urgent advice i been waiting 2 month and 3 days We have submitted our both original British passports. My question is if we request our original passport back do you think this request effect our child first British pAssport application form or may cause further delay in processing it?
Or do you think if they return it they may ask for original passport again?
Or do you think is better to leave our original passport with HMPO until they process the ongoing app form that still under examination? This examination may take years that As other applicant stated in this forum.
Thanks

Hello everyone, hope you are all well.

I just been through the long process of waiting for my child's first british passport and I'm pleased to say she received her passport after just over 6 months. I'm a british citizen and my wife gave birth to our beautiful baby in India.

It's a horrendous experience and I wouldn't want anyone to go through this ever again. So I'm more than happy to help any of you with your questions.

Thanks

I sent off the application by DHL to Durham and application fee was taken 3 days after later. No form of contact from HMPO. Original documents were sent which included my British passport, Birth certificate , applicants birth certificate , antenatal and birth hospital records, marriage certificate , family photos and our wedding photos as well.
From the long forum thread , I guess I'm in for a long wait. Application is listed to take 14 weeks. I understand there was a backlog of overseas applications last year. Has this been sorted out? Many thanks.
Hang in there buddy...we r in the 6th week...8more to go
