Hi yeomanelle and welcome to BE

I don't think truck driving is on the skills list for Australia which rules out all skilled visas, unless your partner has a skilled occupation in demand. It may be worth checking our trucking section - http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=118 and also the Canadian forums - http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=56

Good luck with the plans and shout if you need a hand

I looked at going to OZ before Canada but they dont regard truck driving as a skill.I heard NZ were doing work permits for trucker but may have stopped that now.If you have PR it should be a little easier for you as you wont have to do long haul.Does your partner want to drive ,have you thought of team driving?I work out of Winnipeg ,the only company I could advise is Bison Transport their HQ is in Wpeg but have yard or terminal in Calgary maybe drivers from Calgary can help you there.
