That's very odd, working in a clothing shop wouldn't normally get you a visa for the US, maybe ask them exactly what visa they were on? Or were they higher up i.e. management?

Phlebotomy wouldn't get you a visa either, if you were interested in a medical field it would need to be something a bit more than that - nurse as a minimum really.

Yes, they'd both made managers
and i know phlebotomy wouldnt be enough, im not technically minded unfortunately so yep im going nowhere 🤷‍♀️

I was wondering the same thing - being an established manager would usally be a minimum requirement, and although a degree isn't a requirement, it would usually be someone who was operating at a graduate level that would be most likely to be transferred.

There aren't many transatlantic clothing retailers are there? And I doubt that American retailers such as The Gap or TK Maxx would bring in overseas store managers. I wonder if Top Shop might have moved managers when they opened stores in the US, or perhaps H&M would relocate English speaking managers?
