scart ain't to bad, bulky but it works...just out of date now with hdmi and component.

If your player has component or hdmi, tele should work with it, other wise bin it.

SCART is a lovely example of unintended consequences.

When the Frogs moved to the same TV standards as the rest of Europe, their TV manufacturers didn't like the idea of foreign competition. So the government passed a law that all TV sets sold in France had to have a special socket called Peritel, thinking that would eliminate the competition as nobody would retool to make a special port just for one market.

What they didn't count on was the Japs calling it SCART and putting it on everything.
