Foods available in the US I'd definitely miss are:
NC barbecue (both Eastern and Western)
pimento cheese
real Mexican food (not Tex-Mex)
hush puppies
Americans can keep their ice tea, free refills on sodas and pickles with sandwiches...

But now that I think about it - New Mexico green chile. Even the Subways around here have it.

I just don't get this whole "excellent American pizza" crap!
The best pizzas on earth come from Pizza Express, as far as I'm concerned. For home cooked pizza, the Waitrose pizzas are pretty damned good...
...but every American pizza I've had has been junk. Total crap. Not worth eating.
I guess Texas isn't exactly the state to find America's best pizzas, but I can certainly live without Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Angelo & Vito's and every other pizza chain I've tried here. The closest to edible we've found are the Red Baron frozen pizzas... which are still shite compared to even a basic Pizza Express cheese pizza.

You live in *Plano* you poor thing, get down to Austin and I'll take you to a few local pizza places!
As regards frozen pizzas, try the Freschetta Brick Oven series -- best frozen pizza ever.

If you mean the Hush Puppy shoes you can definately get them in the UK. HP shops all over or at least there was when I lived there.

Most Italian pizzas aren't fat laden.
