is it just me, or do americans say "cannot and do not" very often where we say "can't and don't?" or is it just an emphasis thing?

They also dont use the word 'Now'.. they prefer "Currently, at this moment in time"..

..and while on the subject, how can something be 'completely unique'.. is there such a thing as slightly unique??

I have absolutely no idea as to why anyone would dislike the aforementioned Septic Tanks. They have a great, mighty and powerful President who is full of charm and genuinely cares for his people, often putting the welfare of those less fortunate before big business. For example he would never let a pesky thing like a hard-working American citizens job and pension get in the way of helping those less fortunate by making sure that corporations don’t have to pay tax and letting them fire all their American staff and hiring poor people in China to do the jobs. Such a generous guy! People in china must truly love him! During Hurricane Katrina he was even kind enough to talk to a darkie whilst shaking their hand.



Secondly the Americans have furthered the culture of the world by introducing everyone’s home town centre to a Macdonald’s and Starbucks where teenagers can work for sometimes as much as $5 an hour! Plus they are spreading the wonderful Wal*Mart quicker than bird flu!Which gives everyone meaningful and gainful employment everywhere, you need only walk around any Wal*Mart in America to see the happy, healthy smiling staff walking round gleefully greeting you at the door and standing on their feet for 5 hours happily packing your shopping.

Also Americans blend in wherever they go. If, for example you are in good old London town there is no way on this earth you could spot an American tourist. They blend in perfectly with the rest of the mulleted , morbidly obese, tie-dye t-shirt wearing population of England.

It’s a mystery why anyone dislikes them at all.

Back in the old country a young boy who worked in our factory, told me " is girlfrend is ah littall bit pregnant", I said either she is pregnant or not pregnant. Which is it". Fink he is still pondering the answer. His daughter is now 25 & probably a Grannie.

Yeah - we call those "export models" - cause they are the only ones you tend to encounter outside of their homeland.

We in the UK have our own form of export model too. Many examples can be found in the Costa Del Sol.
