There are some good brew pubs in Freeport as well and Maine does have a good number of decent microbrews which have helped me get over my general dislike of US beer....and Guinness is readily available here.
Hey mate have you tried Gritty McDuffs in Portland, I have been told they do a few good brews.

I have found Shaws in Auburn have a little selection of the essentials.

Yes I have...I am quite a fan of Gritty beers and often imbibe Black Fly if Guinness is not offered.

typical so not ruffle costomers per se. WO started in Boulder and a few people were miffed over the merger..(go figure). WF - buyout the competition to get rid off them... problem solved. I go there just for the 365 veggie chips.

There's a good one that I've used in Portland on the waterfront next to the Hilton Garden Inn. If in Portland the Shipyard brewery has a good shop and free tours and tastings too.
In the Chicago Area I'd recommend Binny's Beverage depot they have a pretty good selection on UK beers/Ciders

btw, if anyone has an uncontrollable craving for HP curry sauce, Heinz 57 steak sauce tastes almost exactly the same.
