Can't vote here, but could in maine for the issues....but over here, surprised that you didn't need any ID or anything to identify who you were, so you could be any old random person knicking someone else's vote...

I have a question - if the Reps keep both houses are the Dems the most incompetent party in history or is the US electorate the dumbest in history ??
Answers on a postcard please.

This Democracy stuff is OK but I'm trying to watch House and half of the screen is filled with results.
I understand the important stuff but ...
School Board? County Clerk? Sheriff's Employees?

However, having a President from one party and Congressional majority of the other means that very little will be achieved. Clinton had this same issue when there was 'big change' during his run...the Repub Congress blocked many things he wanted and he did the same to them. The result was the shutting down of government and other such time wasters. There is a historical pattern of 6 year change during a 2 term president, and the outcome is often that very little is achieved.
The Dems can do a few things, but it's not likely to be much that counts. The big hope for them is to do enough to appear cohesive and ready to get a strong candidate in place for 2008. They need to clarify their message.
They will overturn/not renew some of the Bush tax cuts (I don't mean the cuts for the rich, I mean the sales tax deduction and others from our federal taxes that they want to drop) and other items up for renewal, but I don't think we'll see massive change.
Until 2008

Oh bugger. Mike Nifong remains Durham County's DA. I hope I don't get called for jury duty on the case...

Anyway, at the risk of agreeing with you...
(1) Wankers
(2) Can't really pull out now
(3) Marriage is not for gay people. Gay couples should however have the same rights as married couples. There is no logical reason why they should not.

Hey Leslie
I voted a straight party line last night. Democrat !!!!!!!!!!!!!
New York House and Senate and New York Governor, Attorney General and minor city officials.
Doesn't happen often, but it does on rare occasions
