Will you be doing this presentation again for any reason? If so there are a couple of things you could change, but I won't go into full pedantic git mode if you're not using it again.
Actually - BritVic used the term "Bobby" when we talked on the phone. That's one reason why I chose that.

Let me know if you still can't open it. Can you access Word? If so, I can paste pictures of the slideshow into a Word document so you can see it.

Thanks!

Ppt looks great, glad to hear it all went well. Just a too late FYI though.

Statutory paid maternity leave is 39 weeks, up to 52 weeks may be taken, the rest unpaid. Eleven weeks may be taken before the birth. Six weeks is at 90% of full pay, the rest at about 110 pounds a week. Unless your company offers better, many do.

I'd not have said anything but, the difference in attitudes and expectations is astounding when it comes to babies and post natal care. And pre-natal for that matter!
Not bad at all. The numbers I referenced still made quite an impression (even if they were understated) ... we get 6 weeks period here. Most women work right up until when they are ready to have the baby so they don't waste their leave. You may take additional time unpaid due to the family medical leave act.

Thats what I call them, most other use of names for Policeman are very nasty.

I dont hear it as a term used to refer directly to policemen, or about an individual policeman. But you do hear, I think we should have bobbies on the beat quite a lot.

How did you do that Pony? Thanks so much - you saved me some work and I would have done something which isn't as nifty. Karma from me too!

I probably won't use it again as this class is now over (imagine - I now know all about cultures in 4 weeks ... sad length really). I'm still interested in your feedback though.

Yesterday was awful, in addition to this we had to turn in a handbook (25 pages) on another country which someone else in my group worked on. Talk about butchering the English language. I corrected it for 4 hours then finally had to sigh and throw my hands up.

Does your school also have Mac's? The Mac uses a program called 'Keynote' to view and make powerpoint slides. By default it allows you to save your slideshow in seven different formats. Microsoft prefer you to use their own format - thereby strengthening the monopoly they hold on presentation formats.
