My experience is different, and even then regardless of our personal experiences, it's case law that we should be guided by. In that respect, the USA is fundamentally different to the UK with regards to freedom of speech. Which brings us nicely back to the original point made.
USA. ****, yeah

Yeah, right.
Boston, it's surprisingly godly, under the surface.
I only know this because I was out with a mate and he was showing someone around who came to visit him from back home, got splashed by a car driving past and that's what he said and he got a ticket for it from the cop behind us.
It's probably a public disorder offence as a base, for being loud.
I have no ideas. I just laughed my arse off and got lunch.
Apparently the friend framed the ticket as a souvenir of Boston when he got home.

Do you have $1million+ to appeal it all the way to the Supreme Court? You may be correct, but this is America, and everything requires money, even justice under the law.

Otherwise, there's always constitutional lawyers funded by non profit groups to take cases such as this.

I don't miss much really. I do miss seasons I suppose, but I could always move our family further north should it ever become a real hole in my life.
I suppose I really miss things like public footpaths. I drive along country roads to work mainly and often think I would like to walk somewhere in these areas but all of it is fenced off. No rambler rights, but then again, there aren't many ramblers here.
I do miss a good baker/butcher but those are going out of fashion in the UK too. Guess it's just a sign of the times.

Around our way we have walking trails set up by the forest preserve district but they are just loops near to towns and housing estates. I drive on semi-rural roads a lot myself near to work and I often wish I could set off following a line of pylons or over some fields to see where they go.

In Illinois that might be a reasonable wish, ... in Tampa, and much of Florida, not so much. http://www.worldgolf.com/photo-galle...view/14916.jpg

I could get shot by a farmer, though. Or buggered by one. Either way, not ideal.
