Should I give in....

Just can't bring myself to say 'tomaydo' or 'wadder', it feels so wrong.

I was wondering?..
I was in quiznos and the server asked me if i wanted tomatoes. I just ended up saying yes I want those- and pointing- instead of going through the whole ' yes please I'd like tomartoes' you want what?' scenario.
Ive been in this situation a lot. Should I just give in and say tomato instead of tomarto?

Why would you do that? There isn't an "r" in the word tomato. Ahh hell say it any way you want.

I don't go to Quizno's (that rat advert a couple of years ago put me right off!) although tbh there are more Subway delis round our way.
I can get away with saying tomato rather than tomayto......in NJ virtually all the Subway staff seem to be from India and learned British English before moving to the States.
Come to think of it...it is NJ State law that you can't put petrol in your car and the service station attendants have to do it. Most of them in my experience are from either India or Turkey. I do wonder if these guys pool their money together, one of them gets a business investor visa and then one-by-one bring their relatives into the US to work for/with them?

I almost said Aytch today instead of Haytch when spelling something for someone but decided against it, people just seem to have no idea what I'm saying. I find it odd that when someone says Aytch to me I know what they're on about but it doesn't work the other way around

I always get my husband to order 'wadder' for me. I really dont understand why I can understand them but they cant understand me. Probably because i was brought up watching american cartoons/films.

I say "bangs" instead of fringe, absolutely hate the sound of the word bangs but it makes my life so much easier!!!
