Re: Sandy
As they say, we are hunkered down in the basement with no power listening to it roar above. Sounds horrendous and not looking forward to seeing the damage in the morning. Neighbors tree was uprooted but luckily fell away from house

I was reading the hurricane procedure earlier...it said not to go into the basement...only when there's tornadoes. Although it does sound like the safest place to me. Not due here for a hour or two. Although it does sound like the sides are going to fly off the house at any minute.
Good luck and stay safe. :fingerscrossed: Good luck to those in the path. |

Re: Sandy
I just checked and we have about six years supply of candles! Tea lights, boxes of regular candles, and disgustingly flavored (cinnamon etc) Yankee candles etc that folks give us and we only use in emergencies. Almost makes me hope for a power outrage....
Winds are bad here now, no rain yet. Nothing like what you folks down south are getting. Our daughter on Cape Cod and the niece near Framingham lost power a couple of hours ago. Keep safe everyone! I wish I could get some of these candles to the needy.. especially the spicy smelly ones!! |
