Got to say, I was so amused at all the trucks and so called muscle cars standing on the sides of the roads round here, with a "for sale" sign on when the petrol was 4 bucks a gallon. Evidently the rednecks that drove them suddenly had to decide between the rent on their trailer, or the monthly payment on their $35K wheels. I always thought they'd probably rather live in their truck or car if push came to shove, but it seems a lot of them proved me wrong. 
Not quite sure how one goes about getting ones money back on something that does 12 to the gallon, when petrol has gone up to around $4.00 though, but better late than never. I wasn't unhappy to see less of them.

He got personalized plates too.... And he also does not have permission to buy a Mustang, of any vintage (minds could be bent for a '67 but I digress..) or anything that costs $35k. I let him break the bank on this one and only made him dicker the guy down $100.

I was driving a Honda Civic. I kept it for another 3 years (till it had 180,000 on the clock) then moved on to a VW Jetta. I also have a van for toting my bazillion kids around in. My lovely hubby has a Saturn (god awful piece of junk but gets him from A to B relatively cheaply)
