It does if you're on a cruise ship in shark infested waters and its taken over my radical (insert religion of choice) terrorists who want to start executing foreigners because their ransom hasn't been paid and their best friend on the rescue helicopter has been killed when it was shot down my a surface to air missile launched form a gunboat over the horizon even though they specifically said no gunboats in their demands. If you're in that one, your US passport gets you straight to the font of the line for the stroll to the shark tank. The only thing that can save you then is Fin and his chainsaw....
